DUCT WORK REPLACEMENT

Force-Air furnaces pull in dirt and dust along with air, and some particles build up inside the walls of your ductwork. This dirt must be physically scrubbed off the inside of the ducts in order to remove it. You may wish to replace ductwork that suffers from an excess of particulate build-up. Another reason to replace ductwork is if your existing ducts are not sized properly for your home. Keep in mind that duct requirements for air conditioning are greater than for heating. The size of your central air conditioner or heat pump system will determine the amount of airflow needed. A  CleanAir-US comfort consultant will measure the ductwork during the initial survey and determine if there is adequate ductwork.

DUCT WORK REPAIR

Your air ducts are one of the most important systems in your home, and if the ducts are poorly sealed or insulated they are likely contributing to higher energy bills.

Ducts that leak heated air into unheated spaces can add hundreds of dollars a year to your heating and cooling bills. Insulating ducts in unconditioned spaces is usually very cost-effective. If you are installing a new duct system, make sure it comes with insulation.

Sealing your ducts to prevent leaks is even more important if the ducts are located in an unconditioned area such as an attic or vented crawlspace. If the supply ducts are leaking, heated or cooled air can be forced out of unsealed joints and lost. In addition, unconditioned air can be drawn into return ducts through unsealed joints.

Although minor duct repairs are easy to make, the professional technician that we send will seal and insulate ducts in unconditioned spaces to ensure the use of appropriate sealing materials.

MOLD REMOVAL

The purpose of cleanup is to eliminate mold and remove contaminated materials. Killing mold with a biocide is insufficient, since chemicals and proteins causing reactions in humans remain in dead mold. The following methods are used:

Protective clothing: Includes a half- or full-face respirator mask. Goggles with a half-face respirator mask prevent mold spores from reaching the mucous membranes of the eyes. Disposable hazmat coveralls are available to keep out particles down to onemicrometer, and protective suits keep mold spores from entering skin cuts. Gloves are made of rubber, nitrile, polyurethane, or neoprene.

Dry brushing or agitation device: Wire brushing or sanding is used when microbial growth can be seen on solid wood surfaces such as framing or underlayment

Dry-ice blasting: Removes mold from wood and cement; however, this process may spray mold and its bi-products into surrounding air.

Wet vacuum: Wet vacuuming is used on wet materials, and this method is one of those approved by the EPA.

Damp wipe: Removal of mold from non-porous surfaces by wiping or scrubbing with water and a detergent and drying quickly

HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) vacuum: Used in remediation areas after materials have been dried and contaminated materials removed; collected debris and dust is stored to prevent debris release.

Debris disposal: Sealed in the remediation area, debris is usually discarded with ordinary construction waste.

DRYER VENT CLEANING

Improper Dryer Vent Cleaning maintenance is the leading cause of dryer fires with lint being the material that ignites. The fires are caused by insufficient Air Flow. Restricted airflow, lint build-up and moisture cause overheating that prevents fast drying action. When this happens, the temperature limit safety switches cycle on and off continuously and will fail over a period of time. The higher costs of operation and possibility of a dangerous dryer fire. We uses  professional tools and procedures to clean dryer vent duct. The entire process usually takes about two hours. However, cleaning is only one part of our service. The dryer vent is also inspected for several mechanical issues that should be checked by a professional duct cleaner.

AIR DUCT SANITIZATION

Industry standards recommends that you have your air ducts sanitized and inspected every 2 years for cleanliness, and have them cleaned, on average, every 2-4 years. Of course, this will vary with the conditions of your home. By having your air ducts sanitized regularly, you’ll help improve the indoor air quality in your home, and enhance the efficiency of your heating/cooling system. Dust, Dust Mites, Mold, Bacteria, Pollen all are in your ventilation system and cause havoc on your immune system, Sanitation will protect you from those issues and will protect your furnace and give to him a long-lasting life. When you schedule an appointment to clean your ducts with us don't forget to remind us about when was the last time you have sanitized your system. Our team will be more than happy to help you protect it!

ELECTROSTATIC FILTER

The filter in your furnace will only collect 30-40% of the air-born allergen floating around in the air you breath. So what about the other 60-70%. We work only with the best filter in the market today. Our Air-Care Filters are manufacture in 3 different types: Gold Frame, Silver Frame and Flexible Frame. The Arrestance is just a fancy word for filtering capacity. All Your air duct filters from us come in one of two types of arrestance - either 94% or 82%. The 94% arrestance filter provides higher filtering capacity by trapping up to 94% of particles in the air. We also offer filters with an 82% arrestance. This provides slightly less filtering capacity, but is less restrictive, allowing greater airflow through the filter. An 82% arrestance filter would be appropriate using the following formula. If the filter square footage is less than the tonnage of the unit, we recommend an 82% arrestance filter.

CARPET CLEANING

Professional cleaning can address moderate and heavy soil conditions in your carpets. How often you’ll need professional cleaning depends on soil build-up, traffic, type and color of carpeting. A good rule of thumb would be to professionally clean your carpet every 12 months. The best advice is to clean carpets before they become totally saturated with soil. If you wait until carpets look really dirty, the carpets may never be restored to their former appearance. Dirt builds up in layers, and when a carpet looks dirty you are only seeing the dirt at the tips of the fibers. More dirt is hiding below the surface down near the base of the pile, causing damage to the carpet. When a carpet is saturated with dirt, the soil has penetrated crevices and has become firmly lodged. Carpet cleaning reduces the amount of dust in your air, the dust can be bad for children and animals.
